NPR stands for Neuro-Proprioceptive Rehabilitation program for Bell’s palsy, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and other facial palsies. Developed by our specialists, NPR is non-invasive and mobilizes your own body and mind’s restorative and regenerative power to improve your facial condition.
It addresses the underlying issues behind facial pains, muscle tension, synkinesis, and other complications after facial palsy to bring long-lasting results.
The NPR program is specialized for recovery after long-term facial palsy.
NPR is applicable once at least 8 months have passed since the onset of your facial palsy, without further time limit. This means that it is equally efficient whether your facial palsy happened 1 year, 10 years or over 30 years ago.

It is for you, if you cannot travel to the clinic, and you are well-motivated to work independently at home to achieve results.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the NPR program?
NPR Bell’s palsy recovery program is essentially a comprehensive rehabilitation program. Together with our specialists you will go over stages of rehabilitation after your Bell’s palsy, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and other facial palsies.
Each stage will teach you special techniques of our Neuro-Proprioceptive Rehabilitation (NPR) method. These techniques help to reduce synkinesis, facial pains, spasms and contractures, tense facial muscles, excess or lack of tears, and other complications and residuals of long-term facial palsy.
What results can I expect after completing NPR Bell's palsy recovery program?
The results that you can achieve depend on many factors. As we want to keep your expectations realistic, we cannot promise a 100% return to “as it used to be”. Your face went through a trauma, and it has changed.
Working together with you, our goal is to achieve a pleasing esthetical result that you will be content with, and to make your everyday life more balanced and comfortable.
What is the goal of these programs?
During the working sessions, we will work on improving the balance in your face, and on reduction of your facial pains and tensions. We will actively work together towards reducing the intensity of your synkinesis and improving the symmetry of your facial expressions.
Most importantly, during the working sessions in the clinic or online, we teach you special techniques you will use in your daily life by yourself.
What will I learn as the result of an NPR program?
You will learn what to do when your face gets tired, to make it feel better. You will have techniques to relieve your face if you experience pains or tensions again. You will also learn how to control your synkinesis to reduce their manifestation.
After the full NPR Treatment program, you will become empowered to take control of your face and become comfortable to smile again.
I had my facial paralysis over 30 years ago. Can this method help me?
Each condition is different, and your recovery possibilities depend on the underlying cause, your recovery history and the history of previous surgical interventions.
Your recovery possibility does not depend on the time passed. Biologically, you have the same recovery possibilities even after 60 years as you had after 1 year since your facial palsy.
I don't understand which option is better for me.
We begin all recovery options with an online video consultation. During this session we discuss in detail your condition, answer your questions and help you understand the different options and which can be the most suitable in your scenario.
At the end of the video consultation, you can decide whether to proceed with the recovery program or not. You can also decide later if it feels more comfortable.
To put it in the most simple terms:
- If you want the best possible results – you should come to the Clinic. This is also the best option for those who have complex cases or very long history of facial palsy.
- If your facial palsy complications are minor, and you prefer a more budget-friendly option – Online sessions will be sufficient to achieve results.
- If you are somewhere in-between these two – the Hybrid option can be the most suitable for you.
I registered for an NPR program, but I am not sure yet if I want to proceed. Do I need to pay directly?
After your registration for any NPR Bell’s palsy recovery program, we will contact you before asking for any payment. We will check your registration details and will schedule an online video consultation. We will only request payment for the video consultation first (€95,-).
During the video consultation that lasts 40 min, we will discuss your condition in detail, answer any of your questions and walk you through the possible results you can achieve in your case, and which treatment option will help you the most with that.
At the end of the video consultation, you can decide if you wish to proceed with the full rehabilitation program. In this case, we will schedule your visits to the clinic or online sessions. Only after your confirmation, we will request the payment for the program, in part or in full, depending on the chosen option.
If you decide to withdraw your registration for the full program at the end of the video consultation, we will give you basic recommendations and advice on what you can do on your own to address your current condition.
I registered for Online Recovery Option. Can I switch to Hybrid or Clinic option if I change my mind?
Yes, you can switch from Online to Hybrid or Clinic option at any time. We will be able to change your appointments and adjust your full rehabilitation program accordingly.
This also applies if you are on a Hybrid or Clinic program. You can switch between different options at any time.
Keep in mind that we always schedule sessions in advance. If you decide to switch, there is a possibility that you will need to wait to schedule new sessions. In this case, we can continue with your already scheduled sessions in the meantime to avoid losing progress. It will be your choice.
Can I end my program early?
Yes, you can choose to end your program at any moment for any reason. If you have pre-paid any sessions and wish to end them early, we will refund any pre-paid uncompleted working sessions and treatments. There is no refund for completed working sessions.
