Receive a professional analysis of your current facial condition and discuss a prognosis for your recovery.
Online Bell’s Palsy Diagnostic Session is a professional online analysis of your current condition. In particular, it will help you to:
- have a professional look at the present condition of your facial muscles and tissue,
- understand what is your current recovery level,
- obtain more insight into the causes of your residuals and complications (only in Diagnostic Video Session) – such as synkinesis, facial pains and contractures, facial asymmetry, tensions, excessive or lack of tears, muscular weakness, etc.,
- receive recommendations on what you can do (only in Diagnostic Video Session) to start working on your most prominent residuals,
- learn about a prognosis for your further recovery – to understand better what you can expect from the future.

The online session is conducted by Alex Pashov, Crystal Touch co-founder and the leader of our scientific research team. Neuro-Rehabilitation specialist and MSc by education, he is doing the scientific work, research, consulting, presents our results at International congresses, maintains active world-wide correspondence with Bell’s Palsy sufferers in all continents, and with the Scientific institutions in various countries. Alex has many years of experience working with our patients and performing facial palsy diagnostics.
Online Bell’s Palsy Diagnostic Session will be helpful to you if:
- you are suffering from a long-term peripheral facial palsy for 1 year or more (including Bell’s palsy and Ramsay Hunt syndrome)
- you have visible residuals and complications such as synkinesis, facial asymmetry, facial pains, contractures, muscle weakness, excessive tearing, facial muscles fatigue, etc.
- you are in an acute stage of facial palsy – less than 6 weeks since the onset (Diagnostic Video Session only). We will explain to you what happened to your facial nerve and what are the two possible scenarios for recovery. We will also share with you our best practices, that you can follow during your early stage to facilitate the recovery and reduce the risk of residuals and complications. As we need to speak to you directly for this, in early stages (less than 6 weeks after onset) we only accept registrations for a Diagnostic Video Session. A short email will not be of much help to you.
Choose your Bell’s Palsy Diagnostic Session
We base our analysis on the information that you provide in the registration form below and some photos of your facial expressions. After having received your request, we will do the analysis of your situation and let you know our conclusions using one of the two options below.
Are you in the Acute stage? (less than 6 weeks since the onset)
At less than 6 weeks after the onset, it is often too early to determine, which path your recovery has taken. In such cases, a short email summary will not be of much help to you. We need to speak with you directly, to explain what you are going through, what you can expect and what you can do to improve your condition. If you want an advice without delay, please register for the Extended Assessment. If you prefer to wait for an email assessment, then please contact us when more than 6 weeks have passed since the onset.
Diagnostic Video Session (Extended Assessment)
Diagnostic Video Session includes:
- in-depth analysis, conclusions and discussion of your present condition
- the prognosis for your recovery
- explanation of the basics of facial palsy, its residuals and complications
- giving you the recommendations on how to start relieving the symptoms that are bothering you most
- answering your questions

Email Commentary | Free
We will send you by email a short summary of our conclusions, based on the analysis of your present condition.
If less than 6 weeks have passed since the onset of your facial palsy, then please register for the Extended Assessment or come back later.

Diagnostic Video Session
“Alex Pashov and I had an online diagnostic video session. All I can say is WOW. Alex was able to tell me more about the Bell’s Palsy I am dealing with than any other doctor has before. I have been dealing with Synkinesis as a result of the Bell’s Palsy I came down within February of 2019. Alex was so thorough and patient as he explained all the details associated with my condition. He was very good at giving me practical steps to take – and understanding the reason why I am supposed to do these steps helps me so much. I believe I will be healed because I am going to be getting to the root of the issue and not taking care of it just symptomatically with botox. Alex is the best and the diagnostic tool of the video session was wonderful.”

Diagnostic Video Session
“The only Diagnostic Video Session was extremely useful to me, I learned so much more than I expected. You very thoroughly and attentively explained my condition, in particular, you helped me truly understand why my face feels the way it does as a result of my synkinesis. I learned more about my condition during the session than in two years of research and watching videos. Learning even now that I have not massaged my face in the most efficient way was quite insightful, I enjoyed learning more about the mimetic pattern and neurophysiology of it all and importantly how this all plays into further recovery. I appreciate you answering all of my questions and I am ready to continue helping my face heal with your guidance and practice. Overall, I am really glad to have come across the Crystal touch clinic and participated in the video diagnostic, I look forward to working with your team and starting my designed program to help manage my facial expressions.
Thank you for spending a bit more time during our session answering questions and explaining more about the process. In terms of any suggestions, I liked the way the session was laid out. In the future, I would suggest asking prospective patients to browse your website and content a bit more to best follow along with you (I could have done a better job at this myself) and provide an overview of what the session will entail ie., the background of condition, the severity of their condition (individual to each patient) and why (such as mimetic pattern explained to me) followed by what comes next which worked out really well for me, thank you!”

“For me, it was quite revelatory. I have done some research on the internet, but your explanations were much more specific and relevant. I hadn’t realised before contacting you at Crystal Touch Clinic that my condition still had the potential to improve. The ‘exercises’ you suggested made sense and I have found them very relaxing and helpful, and I have a clearer understanding of what is needed to tackle my residual symptoms. I feel much more positive following the Extended Diagnostic Video-Session, and am very much looking forward to attending the clinic in person. Also, I would also like to thank you for your prompt and efficient responses to my emails.”

“I just had my online Diagnostic Video-Session assessment with Alex Pashov and all I can say is WOW! After seeing countless doctors and specialist in the states he was first to provide hope that I will get better! I have been dealing with bells palsy for 6 months and now have synkinesis. Alex took the time to thoroughly explain Bells Palsy to me and what is happening to my nerves and muscle and how their rehabilitation will help. Due to COVID I am unable to travel to the Netherlands but I am looking forward to starting my rehabilitation program. If you are hesitant about making an appointment with Crystal Touch, go for it you will not be disappointed!”

Diagnostic Video Session
“Dr. Alex Pashov was very patient, kind, understanding and knowledgable. I was having some technical issues with my Zoom connection in the beginning and he patiently waited for me to figure out what was going on. This meeting was the first time I have spoken about my Bell’s palsy in years, I was feeling vulnerable and exposed opening up about and showing the effects of my condition — something that I had been trying to hide for so long. But right off the bat, Dr. Alex made me feel very comfortable and at ease, he was very easy to talk to.
Nothing had happened to me like this before – waking up one morning with a whacking great headache and one side of my face drooping and completely immobile.
It was a couple of weeks before I found Crystal Touch and within that time I had contacted facial palsy support groups, plastic surgery clinics, physiotherapists, neurologists and homeopaths…desperately searching for help and answers.
However, it wasn’t until I spoke with Alex that I actually understood what had happened to me and what was going to happen. He explained the whole thing, almost as if he’d been there and saw it happen; initial nausea, the headaches, the burning sensation in my ear, the tinnitus… He explained it all – and in precise, simple terms I could understand and retain.
In telling me what lay ahead, over the course of the next few days and then weeks and then months, I could feel a huge weight lift off my shoulders. No one had explained this to me before – not my personal doctor, not the specialist I saw at the emergency hospital. No one.
What I came away with wasn’t just reassurance – although I would have been more than satisfied with that. Alex also advised me on how I could help my process of healing advance, what medication I needed to take and continue taking, what massage treatments to use. He also advised me about what treatments would have little or no effect. And then he told me what to look for when it came to the first indications of recovery and so much more.
Although it was a video session – he in Rotterdam and I in London – it was the most important and pivotal conversation I have had from the very start of this very frightening journey with Facial Palsy Ramsey Hunt Syndrome.
Without hesitation, I would recommend anyone and everyone to contact him if ever they find themselves on this journey too.”

Diagnostic Video Session
“Having facial paralysis is a very heavy experience. Especially I became very insecure because it takes so long and no one can give you clarity due to lack of knowledge. What Doctor Pashov does during the video session is very extensively taking you into how your body works and which steps can follow and how the course of recovery will go in your own situation. Doctor Pashov has so much experience with facial paralysis that it immediately gives you so much confidence. Finally, a doctor who really knows about it! And he also gives you exercises that you can use well at home even if you have a busy life like me because of the birth of twins. I can really recommend it to anyone with facial paralysis.”
